2007 BMW R1200GS - ready to tour package in Ackworth, West Yorkshire for sale

For sale is my BMW R1200GS in Grey which I've had for 4 years. It was 1st registered in April 2007 and I bought it from the 3rd owner with 8000miles on it. Since then I've put just under of 23,000 miles further on it, almost half of which have been in Europe! It's a superb bike for two-up touring and solo riding is a pleasure given the bikes surprising agility for its size. The bike has lots of extras on it and is fully set up for touring, you could literally pick it up, pack your kit on it and take it touring the next day. I have listed all the extras below which I want to sell with the bike as a ready to tour offer. Standard stuff/info: • All the original OEM spec – 2 stage heated grips, BMW anti-theft immobiliser, trip computer (with oil & fuel level indicator, etc.), alloy wheels, Steal Exhaust, original tool kit, standard Rider and Pillion Seats etc. • I have x2 keys for it. • All the original paperwork plus receipts etc for services/recall completion. • Full service history with all stamps in the original Rider's Manual all from main BMW dealers • MOT next due 19/06/2016 • Plenty of life left in the brakes and tyres etc. • It has never been crashed, dropped, ridden on the dirt or otherwise abused • Runs well and has never let me down! Extras: • Has an Adventurer Beak, Adventurer Hand Guards (taller than std), Carbon Fibre Hugger, Front mud guard extender, Stainless Cymarc "Crud Catcher" (engine case protector), Crash bars, Cylinder head protectors, Lifting handle (to help shorties lift it on to the centre stand), Stainless Oil cooler protector, 90deg elbow permanent Tyre Valves. • Comes complete with genuine BMW pannier and top box mounting frames, panniers and topbox with back rest pads (all coded to the original ignition key), genuine BMW Tank Bag, smaller SW Motech QR Tank bag plus mount and genuine BMW topbox and pannier inner waterproof bags. • Being about 6' I found the original screen was a little low to prevent wind buffeting at speed so I have fitted Wunderlich Universal Screen extension and for the same reason I also fitted 20mm Black Handle Bar Risers • I've added an upper rail above the speedo which I use to mount my iPhone to in a water proof case which provides Satnav, music, phone and radio through my bluetooth headset (headset no for sale) • I also bought and fitted a device (essentially a resistor) that fits in between the intake temperature sensor and the ECU which fools the ECU in to thinking its colder so it adds slightly more fuel at low engine speed/idle. This make the pull away and crawling through slow traffic much smoother and stops the excessive jerkiness of a boxer engine. • Has a Odyssey high performance battery. • Comes with a genuine BMW battery charger/optimiser that plugs into the standard DIN socket on the frame under the seat. • Haynes Manual just in case. • I fitted a direct connection to the bike battery to run my heated clothing and iPhone etc. The connector type is a Kit 2-pin waterproof plug so I will also provide cigarette & USB outlet device I modified to use with it. Other points: • All BMW recalls have been completed including the recent rear brake disc mounting flange. • It has marks, corroded fasteners (some replaced with Stainless) and corrosion to the casings (I bought it like this and fitted the crud catcher to prevent further spreading)... basically all the signs you would associate with a bike of its age and mileage. • The top box has some scuff / scratch marks from the seller I bought it off who either dropped their bike or ran the box down a wall Genuine reasons for sale - Priced to sell, so please no time wasters!
